Ambassadors at Large

Membership news . . . The Ambassador members finished off 2023 very well! Maria Enright played a fun-filled round of golf at the Wheaton-Naperville Chapter’s “Diamond in the Rough” mid-September, and Sylvia Kinney was the lucky winner of the themed raffle – a beautiful diamond necklace!
Our November 4th meeting was very well attended, and we welcomed several guests. As a result of our growth, and continued interest in our little chapter, we have activated the position of Secretary–Trucia Drummond generously answered the call, and we are in the process of re-examining our by-laws in order to better respond to the needs of our increasing membership.
The Ambassadors showed up in force at Oak Brook’s Mistletoe Medley – better than two tables strong! The holiday bazaar, the snippet of the Nutcracker ballet, and the fashion show offered an entire day of entertainment and fun. Our photo on the right reflects just some of our Ambassadors, along with our beloved Auxiliary Coordinator, Maria Penland.
Other Events … We wrapped up our 2023 Charleston Wrap project, and met our monetary goal! It was well received and supported by other Auxiliary chapters; we may consider repeating the project later this year.
One more thing … Our next meeting will be held on Leap Year Day at The Fortnightly! Our members are delighted to be attending an event in such a beautiful and historic setting, and we are very grateful to Carol Seelig and Barbara Wing for making the experience possible.
