Mount Prospect Chapter
On the fundraising front . . . The Mount Prospect Chapter held a fundraiser at The SanFilippo Estate and Carousel Pavilion. The Estate is known worldwide for its magnificent collection of beautifully restored antique music machines, phonographs, arcade and gambling machines, chandeliers, art glass, and the world’s largest restored theatre pipe organ, a spectacular European salon carousel, a steam engine and much more.
Guests were treated to a 3 hour tour of the home that the SanFilippo family lives in. The family is rich in history, and collections. The tour included viewing the collection of music wall organs, music boxes, phonographs, slot machines, and perfumes. In the Carousel pavilion, guests were treated to music by organs from around the world, a ride on a carousel and a tour of a steam engine. The event was held on August 3rd and 70 guests were in attendance.
